Support services and treatment options

Access to housing and recovery

IHR provides access to a variety of support services and treatment options for families, adolescents, and pregnant women who are in recovery from substance use. IHR’s community housing staff coordinates access to and placement in permanent, subsidized housing for homeless families in recovery, with locations in central and western Mass. IHR also coordinates access, referral, and intake to state-funded residential substance use treatment programs across Mass. for families, pregnant women, and youth under the age of 24. IHR’s Access Coordinators respond to a high volume of calls every day, conducting telephone screenings to determine the client’s treatment needs and working closely with the client and outside organizations throughout the placement process. Access Coordinators provide bi-lingual, gender-responsive, and culturally-specific services to ensure that families and youth receive the support they need.
