YARD Project

The YARD Project was a collaboration between IHR, the Gavin Foundation and the Massachusetts Organization for Addiction and Recovery to serve young adults aged 18–24, in recovery from substance use. It was funded by the US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment.

This South Boston-based project offered a variety of services and activities to assist young adults at all stages of treatment and recovery. YARD worked to create a safe and empowering community that can also include young adults not necessarily in recovery, but who seek sober peer groups and activities.
